“The Woman Who Lived in a Shoe” is our brand-new St. Edmund’s Pantomime, to be presented in January 2025. It has been described as “An epic journey through traditional tales”, and features all of the elements that you would expect from an Arrow Players Pantomime. There is a formidable dame, a loveable animal, a wonderful fairy and a dastardly baddie, not to mention a host of princes, princesses, clowns and sundry other eccentric characters.
Henrietta is the woman who lives in a shoe; she and her children are responsible for ensuring that all of the traditional stories turn out as they should. Some of the tales start going mysteriously wrong, so Henrietta sets out with her trusty cat to put everything right. Along the way she meets such well-loved characters as Cinderella and Sleeping Beauty, as well as some other shadier individuals. Naturally, her heroism saves the day many times, but is there a more sinister force at work behind it all? Of course there is!
If you are looking for a traditional family pantomime, full of colour, music, fun and adventure, then this is the show for you.
Performances will take place as shown on the left. The performance on Sunday 19th January will be a “Relaxed Performance”, designed to welcome all to enjoy our Pantomime, ideal for children and adults with additional needs and for young children for whom this may be their first experience of Pantomime.
